Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author as well as a model and actress. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most well-known films. Her family was an artist family in New York and wanted to explore a career in the arts. When she was assistant to photographers She turned her focus towards modeling and acting. She received an award called the Golden Globe Award, for the most promising young talent. MacGraw became an international celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. Within three years she had been voted as the most popular female box-office starter in the whole world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
